This weekend started out a little rocky (Jim had some crazy stuff going) but the weekend turned out great. We started celebrating on Friday because Jim had the day off. So we went swimming and then to Jim's brother's house for a BBQ. We kept the kids up late and watched the fireworks at the golf course by his house. Katrina loved them, Devin warmed up to them and for the most part liked them, but the best was our little niece. Anastasia who is just 8 months old just loved the fireworks. She was just laughing every time one went off, it was so funny just to listen to her.
Then we work the kids up this morning for a neighborhood breakfast and a bike parade. Katrina was so excited she talked about the bike parade for 2 day. There is a park by our house that has a walking trail around it so the kids just ride on that. Katrina was so serious when she was riding she wouldn't even smile. I think she rode around 5 times. After that we went to the good old K-town parade. We ran into some old friends which is always fun and we left before the water part. So after some much needed naps my brother and parents came over and we had our own little make your own pizza bar. Everyone (including Devin) made their own pizza. They turned out really good and the kids had fun doing it. To end the day (Devin was already asleep) we (Jim, Katrina, and I) roasted marshmallows on our new portable fire pit and then watched the fireworks from our front steps. It was such a fun and for the most part relaxing day.

Impressive 4th of July! You packed a lot in. Poor Emily fell asleep before the fireworks.
